The Prep Hoops Next Middle School Camp is an EARLY opportunity for middle school athletes to get EXPOSURE by performing in front of Prep Hoops Next scouts and other media outlets BEFORE they enter high school.
With Prep Hoops Next scouts in attendance dedicated to highlighting top performers, players will receive unparalleled coverage before, during, and after the event on PrepHoops.com/Next and social media. In addition to our national scouts, other recruiting media will be invited, including photo and video.
Run of show:
After check-in, athletes will have a professional headshot taken for identification. Athletes will then be split up to compete against their grade level. The competition portion of the showcase is broken into two sections: 3-on-3 competition and 5-on-5 competition. Teams will be assigned based on height, to give teams an even distribution of size.

Jake Sullivan - Event Director
Jake Sullivan graduated from Tartan High School in Oakdale, Minnesota in 2000 after scoring 3,013 points in his high school career and winning a high school state championship. Following his high school career, Jake went on to play at Iowa State University. While at Iowa State University, Jake was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year, three-time All-Big 12 selection, three- time academic All-American, and still holds the career record for most made three-point field goals. Following his playing career Jake has been heavily involved in the basketball community helping to start All Iowa Attack, founding Kingdom Hoops, and since returning to Minnesota in 2018 coaching at Eden Prairie High School, D1 Minnesota, running 7-J’s basketball training and development, while also serving as an event director for Prep Hoops since 2019.

The Prep Hoops Next Middle School Camp is the #1 youth basketball showcase for exposure and elite competition. All games will be streamed and stored for future viewing on BallerTV. Prep Hoops Next Scouts will be providing media coverage, along with a paid photographer and videographer.

Attendees have an opportunity to play in front of Prep Hoops Next Scouts, receive unparalleled written and social media coverage, and an exclusive Prep Hoops Next reversible jersey.
Each Middle School Camp will be led by a Prep Hoops Next Event Director who will speak to the group about the recruiting process. Players will then break out into their pre-assigned team and play live 3 on 3 and live 5 on 5 games in a play-sit-play-sit-play-sit format. Players will be coached by local college and high school coaches. All players will receive equal playing time.
When creating team rosters, players will be split by their age group so that they are playing against kids from their grade. Teams will be generated based on height.
All classes will be separated to play within their grade 2028 vs 2028, 2029 vs 2029 and 2030 vs 2030
Teams will be generated based on height to attempt to give each team a similar distribution of height.
Parents will be allowed to stay and watch the event at no cost.
Parents not in attendance can live stream and/or replay the event on BallerTV with the purchase of a BallerTV pass.
If the event doesn't sell out, the deadline to register for the event will be Wednesday the week of the event. We strongly suggest registering as soon as possible to guarantee your spot.
Doors will open and check-in will begin 1 hour prior to the event start time.
All registered participants will receive a welcome kit email the week of the event.
Event Insurance Purchased
Customers can request a full refund (minus the Event Insurance fee) up to 48 hours prior to the event. Any notification received within 48 hours of the event or post-event only a credit towards a future event will be offered. No refunds will be offered within 48 hours of the event or post-event.
Event Insurance Not Purchased
Should it be necessary to cancel your participation in a Prep Network event, we must be informed via email prior to the event starting. With advanced notification, a credit towards a future event will be offered. No refunds will be offered if Event Insurance is not purchased.
CREDIT NOTE: If I am unable to use my credit, I understand that it can be transferred to another athlete who is able to attend. We ask that when redeeming the credit you notify us so we can ensure the correct registration information is entered.
